Transition Math/Alg. 3 – Head Boys Track – Assistant XC

At the 7A-Central XC Meet at Cabot, the Pointerettes finished 2nd overall and the Pointers finished 6th overall.? Ashley Myers(2nd)?and Kalen Hosier(10th)?both made All-Conference by finishing in the top ten.? The next meet for VBHS will be the 7A-State meet held at Mountain Home, November 7th.? The 2009 Chilepepper Festival was held Saturday, October 17, 2009.? The VB runners had a good day with two runners making it to the awards stand.? Ashley Myers finished 12th overall in the High School Girls Invitational and set a new school record for the 5k with a time of 19:12.8.? Quinton Ray finished 8th overall in the Junior High Boys Open. ?Maria Valente just missed the awards stand with a 16th place finish in the Junior High Girls Open.? The 2009 Van Buren XC Classic was held Saturday, October 10, behind Coleman Jr. High in Van Buren.? There were 412 runners that competed in 4 different races in the junior high and senior high divisions.? There were also 101 runners that competed in the elementary and middle school races.? Van Buren had several outstanding performances including:

• Kalen Hosier (VBHS) won the senior boys race
• Ashley Myers (VBHS) won the senior girls race
• Quinton Ray (Butterfield) finished 2nd in the junior boys race
• Maria Valente (Butterfield) finished 2nd in the junior girls race
