What amazing writers I have in my class. We started a new unit of writing last week – PERSUASIVE LETTERS! Watch out Mrs. Ragar, VBSD School Board, moms and dads, etc. We have letters coming your way! Our class has been so busy finding an idea or opinion that?we are passionate about; searching for strong reasons; and including small moment stories, examples, and/or quotes to strongly support these ideas.
We have many different kinds of ideas and opinions. Kassidy is writing to the National Humane Society about NOT killing dogs that aren’t adopted. Jayden is passionate about having a football field with goal posts at King School. Carlos would like to see more swings on the playground. Andy and a couple of others think that the preschoolers need a bigger playground. Cherilyn would like to convince me to get a classroom pet (I told her make it a good letter, as long as it is NOT a snake!) Patrick and Elise would love to see a greenhouse or a garden at the new King Elementary School. Carter thinks that EVERY student should have a laptop at school. I am writing a letter to my parents to persuade them to move from Florida back to Arkansas/Oklahoma area!
